That’s cute. We found double digit amounts of black widows when we were cleaning, at least three of which were that size scampering across the floor once we disturbed them. Boundless levels of nope.

Yes please. There's still one that refuses to come out and I don't want to vacuum it because then I'll be terrified when I empty the vacuum. Dammit, why couldn't they just stay outside in the first place...

Oh fuck no. I’ll have a black widow, thanks. At least those don’t usually cause any serious damage and can be treated in a way that doesn’t require removing massive amounts of flesh.

According to this, you’re safe: http://www.orkin.com/other/spiders/… “An initial study of the hobo spider venom reported their venom to be a medical threat that would produce necrotic lesions. Subsequent research has dispelled this, and the spider is no longer considered a medically threatening spider.”
Also, this: “The males have a swollen appendage that appears menacing, but is merely the hobo spider’s reproductive organs."

Hobo spiders are pretty docile and they generally don't want much to do with humans. I'd never, ever rather have a Black Widow.

I looked into them when you posted your Black Widow story... they aren’t as deadly as they have a reputation of being, unless you are a little kid or elderly. Mainly due to their small size. Also, they tend not to bother you unless directly threatened.
The Hobo’s on the other hand have the reputation of being dumb enough to attack anything that touches their web. And while their venom isn’t anywhere near as deadly as that of the Black Widow, it attack in a totally different way. Instead of using a neurotoxin that usually has no lasting effect on something the size of a human, it’s venom directly targets and kills the flesh. But you should know all that, you’re in their more preferred habitat.
All I’m saying is I’d rather a toxin that can be treated quickly and if it’s going to be fatal does it’s work quickly than one that requires months of intensive treatment and keeping the wound open.
